Steve: So, what we are talking about
here is, a traditional journalist might think that his or her job is to quote the evolutionary biologist, quote the creationist and let the
reader decide, whereas the blogger can say, «Oh, by the way, this stuff that you're
hearing from the creationist is nonsense.»
Sure, I'll see stats and numbers that people have read or seen my posts either
here or on social media... but those moments when my blog stats drop, I don't
hear feedback
from anyone online or in person, there are less «likes» on Instagram posts, no one comments,
readers unsubscribe
from my email list, or I lose followers... it stings.
For us
here at Teacher, our annual survey provides another opportunity to
hear from our
readers and listeners, what they'd like to see more of, and how we can continue to improve the content we provide.
When I
hear a good story
from a colleague or author friend and can convince them to write about it for us
here, the article usually resonates with
readers.
