heavier than the coupe because of reinforcements added to compensate for the body rigidity that's lost along with the metal roof.
At 1605 kg it's 90 kg
heavier than the coupe and, crucially, 145 kg more portly than the Boxster S (with PDK).

coupe
There is also a weight gain between the 2013 and 2014 model year with the new model weighing in 48 pounds
heavier than last year's car when you compare
coupe models with navigation.
Mercedes didn't confirm a curb weight for the
coupe but Glaser says it's likely
heavier than the sedan which has a base curb weight of 3,792 pounds.
The big
coupe is too big and
heavy to be truly agile, but this is still a more -
than - capable performance machine.
The only disappointment is that the
coupe is actually slightly
heavier than the saloon it shares much of its structure with — and this hurts its agility somewhat.
