The SPCA Serving Erie County is fortunate to
find new homes for around 8,000
dogs and cats each year and this
new partnership with FOTAS and Aiken County has the potential to
help hundreds of
dogs and cats
find their forever
homes, while
helping to ease the overcrowding of the county shelter.
I felt good about doing this seminar because I like working with abandoned / rescued
dogs, and I felt that this was a good way
for me to
help good
dogs find new homes.
Through membership and patronage of our boarding services you
help to ensure funding
for the SYV Humane Society's mission of controlling overpopulation of
dogs and cats and
finding new homes for homeless animals.
But
for those we are able to
help, we take pride in knowing that we are doing everything we think is possible
for the
dog so that when he or she
finds their
new home, it is forever.
I told the kids if they couldn't
help us we'd have to

Some of our
dogs come into Luv A Chin Rescue via owner surrenders - individuals or families that can no longer keep them, some are strays that
found their ways to a local shelter and some come from responsible breeders that have asked us to
help them get ready
for a
new home through our foster families.
You should be required to sign a contract and the breeder should be willing to take the
dog back or
help you
find a
new home if you need to re-
home the
dog for any reason.
If you have experience with
dog or cat behavior, volunteer to do behavior evaluations
for new arrivals, and
help the shelter determine each animal's personality, social skill level,
find any triggers
for behavior problems, and other important information that's needed
for determining how adoptable an animal is or what kind of
home they need to thrive.
As a condition of sale or placement, the breeder (s) should retain the right of first refusal should the purchaser ever decide to transfer ownership, thereby giving the seller every opportunity to

for interaction with potential adopters, and cleaning Mix and Mingle rooms so they are available
for visitors.

dogs from the Humane Society.

dogs come from private individuals who have asked us to
help them

new home for their Samoyed.
