the help of my critique group, it'll get closer with each draft.

I can't even list the number
of times my
critique group has
helped me celebrate successes or nursed me through disappointments that non-writers simply can't understand.

helps me.

I'm
helping a bunch
of new writers start a
critique group, so I pulled out an article I'd gotten published in 1993 with tips about keeping
critique groups productive.
You might have a
critique group, or you might have an ad hoc
group of people that live all over the place that can't meet together physically who can
help review your book and do different things.
Reviewers are mostly a means to further sales, and if you edit your story to suit reviewers, you'll never make anyone happy (except that one reviewer, who's already moved on anyway); 2) Find a
group of people to
critique before you release — it's a poor man's editor, and they aren't reviewers but will
help improve your writing before you look for the reviews.
I am part
of a local
critique group and they are
helping me get my first memoir in order.
Writers are given access to a library
of resources including how - to videos, book promotion ideas on the forum, and even
critique groups to
help you refine your writing.
