My website is a review and indie author feature site on which I post reviews of books I've read (primarily indie novels) as well as
help out other indie authors by giving them a forum on which to post.
Before I start, I want to thank you Lindsay for giving me this opportunity to talk about my part in Faery Worlds and to
help out some other indie authors who might just be getting started.

indie and trad sit side by side on the amazon bookshelf now, they
help each
other out (increasing the likelihood of one being bought whilst the
other is being browsed).
The guidelines for submitting a book for review are listed on the
Indie Reader website, along with a detailed description of
other tools that are available to
help not only authors, but the readers who want to find quality reads in the overwhelming sea of self - published works
out there.
Especially, if you're an
indie author, you should
help to show
others that there are some quality
indie books
out there.
I think that it's important that
indie authors
help each
other out by recommending services that they have used, and I hope this post
helps indie authors make a decision as to which service they ultimately use, whether it's BookBaby or another publisher.
I think it definitely plays to every
indie author's advantage to orchestrate a box set set per the advice in my prior box set post because once the box set is
out there, not only
help you reach more readers but it will also make you a contender when iBooks or some
other retailer is looking to do another box set promotion.
publishers,
indie publishers can
help countermand some of Amazon's heavy corporate influence by carving
out other channels of distribution.
Most
indie authors are eager to
help each
other out, but few have been effective at actually reaching young adult readers and selling a lot of books (but I know a bunch of YA authors who are selling over 20K books a month, and I plan to interview them soon!)
Helen Sedwick, an experienced business lawyer, has put
out a blog to
help indie authors deal with their most common concerns about contracts, copyrights, and
other legal snafus.
So in this new world, getting stories up
indie can
help out other sales given time.
I set up a Facebook group for all us
indie authors to
help each
other out in making books permafree on Amazon.
One great thing about the
indie author community is the willingness to
help each
other out.
I mean
indie devs need to
help each
other out, and stop throwing salt at another team's project because A) the idea is beneath your skill set or B) it's not a project you would hang your hat on, personally.
