I didn't know other Atheist were in my community, but the more I talked about it and researched it the more I realized there are much more of us out here than I thought, more than the 3 - 4 % I am sure of it.
I would agree that both atheists and believers alike tend to lash out here with words and name calling that is unnecessary, but you are wrong about them loving themselves, and you are wrong about their morals and values.

OK... please, I am asking you in the nicest possible way... explain to me, without a Designed, where the universe and all it entails, first got its source... I really would like to know... from everything I see, I see beauty, design, tragedy, poetry, poverty, etc.... How did we begin to name or classify any of this... what intelligence gave us our intelligence... I have yet to see an anwer posited as to how it all came about, absent a Designer... I will wait for an answer... How did it ALL get here, and explain the precision and engineering of it all — right down to the last jot of DNA.

Atheists harp on all day about how they can't stand other people shoving their religious views down their throats, and lookie here, yet again they prove they are just as bad and also hypocrites.

He was pointing out that atheists complain about this open expression of belief... and yet here are atheists openly expressing their belief (non-belief), and specifically targeting those who believe with the express purpose of drawing them away from their beliefs.

Here is what Butterfly McQueen once told a reporter about Christians: «I'm an atheist, and Christianity appears to me to be the most absurd imposture of all the religions, and I'm puzzled that so many people can't see through a religion that encourages irresponsibility and bigotry.
People have such misconceptions about faith... I couldn't stand the Christian Right before seeing all of these comments, but I'm beginning to have just as strong of a distaste for some of the self - righteous atheists posting here.

Second, I'll just jump in here with Chad and say that I'm finding it amusing that lots of people are talking about «the Church» the way I hear «the Church» (yes, I know I'm doing it too) talk about the «Gay agenda» or «the atheists» as if there's some back room meeting that takes place between some group who decides things about what will and won't happen or how we'll all be (in any of those groups).
And if some atheist posted something about uses for dead Christians, all the the Christians here would have a good chuckle and move on.
