We are cat people, we love our cats no matter what, we love every cat that comes through the door — so having to euthanize so many cats and kittens takes a toll on all of
us here at the shelter, there are lots of tears shed during this time of year.
It's a pretty common story
here at the shelter.
Strays are always accepted
here at the shelter either through our front desk from 11 am to 6 pm or in our Night Receiving area to the West of the main entrance while we are closed.
After they arrive
here at our shelter, we still have the challenge of finding just the right family to give them a forever home.

Menichino tells Shelter Me that on top of the donations themselves, she's hopeful Goldberg's gallery will «spark interest in the homeless animals that we have
here at the shelter» and «give others the idea to think outside of the box when it comes to fundraising for the homeless pets at the Humane Society of Tampa Bay.»
When you have found your perfect pet and spent some time with
them here at the shelter, you will complete an adoption application for review by an adoption counselor.

Here at Shelter Island Veterinary Hospital, we do a thorough physical exam on your pet before administering anesthetics, to ensure that a fever or other illness won't be a problem.
My previous owner left me with a family member but unfortunately never came to get me so that is why I am
here at the shelter.

Although many projects
here at the shelter are an on - going endeavour, all major construction projects are complete, including our latest project, converting all rain gutters to drain into rainbarrels to reduce runoff.

Here at the shelter, we can't stress enough the importance of spaying or neutering your pets.
It is fair to say that when Jasper left us, it was a bitter sweet moment for everyone
here at the shelter, but their is truly nothing like seeing an animal find their forever home!
Whether it was through his good looks or outgoing personality, Jasper always found a way to put a smile on everyone's face
here at the shelter.

3/28/2018: Carl has taken a little time to settle in

Stacey joined our team in February of 2016 as a part - time animal care technician and has since become a full - time animal care technician as well as our satellite location coordinator

He is one of those puppies that we have watched grow up
here at the shelter, get adopted, get returned because they didn't have time to work with him.

Maxin, Eugene and Bullwinkle still need their happily ever after, and we still have tons of great dogs
here at the shelter who are looking for homes.
These rooms are for cats that are not considered adoptable by most people, but they are able to live out their lives
here at the shelter.
Carrie can be picky of her dog friends, but has made a few in her time
here at the shelter.
Like most of the dogs
here at the shelter, Max was not given any training or structure growing up and he needs a home that will be committed to exercising and being consistent with training.

here at our shelter have come from abused, abandoned, or neglected cases that our Humane Agents have pulled from situations.

Here at our Shelter, it took just four days for Eric, George, and Layla to find their forever homes!
The best part is that all of the proceeds from shop sales go to benefit the AHS pets
here at the shelter while they wait for loving, forever homes!
