Part of the reason for that is that it's very helpful in the synthesis process to make your ideas visual, get them out of your head, onto paper, and
on sticky notes so you can move them around and say, «Hey, this insight I had during this interview is similar to something I jotted down over
here when I was talking to this other person.»
Here's a little trick I like to use: Write down the name of the job you are targeting
on a sheet of scrap paper or a
sticky note, and keep it by your side as you write.
