Experienced 12 different challenges: climb on, in, off and around a
box, go through a cardboard tunnel, climb up and down steps, climb over obstacles, play
hide & seek, go in and out a doorway with a step up or down, exposed to an electric sliding door, umbrella, balloons, walk on a wobbly table, jump over a broom, climb over a log, bathtub,
etc..
Provide an assortment of appropriate cat toys,
hiding boxes, scratching posts / trees,
etc., and make sure your pet has plenty, if not constant access to these goodies.
To add challenge, you can
hide them in a
box or bag, put more than one around the house, or thread a bully stick through one or two or three Kongs so the dog has to remove the toys to get to the chew,
etc..
In the safe room, you'll want to have food, water, two litter
boxes, toys, a comfortable place to sleep (a cat bed, or soft blankets are fine, too), a perch (cat tree or maybe a dresser from where she can look out a window), and a place where your new cat can
hide (either a
box, or a bed to crawl under,
etc.).
Seems like it would be pretty easy to
hide several families on an abundance of acres, especially if they use PO
boxes,
etc..
They do a great job of
hiding all the other non-cute cardboard
boxes of cereal, pancake mix,
etc. too!
