I personally take both
fish oil and krill
oil, as the
fish oil has a larger quantity of DHA and EPA (and more omega - 3 volume overall), while the krill
oil has more antioxidant benefits from the astaxanthin and a
higher absorption rate
than the
fish oil.
Also, their previous studies have found that a moderately low - carbohydrate diet that includes healthy sources of fat and protein — such as olive
oil, nuts, poultry,
fish, whole grains and legumes — can better lower the risk of premature death from cardiovascular disease
than low - fat,
high - carb diets.

than those supplements, the only other things I use are a daily multivitamin (which I use year - round) and
fish -
oil caplets on my
high carb days in order to still get in my desired intake of omega - 3 fatty acids while eating low fat during those days.
What's really interesting is that the researchers measuring the 25VitD in dogs found that dogs who were supplemented with salmon
oil had significantly
higher 25VitD
than dogs receiving other supplements thought to contain vitamin D like other
fish oils.
Now why does EVERYONE (and I mean — everyone — after finding only 2 brands of dry food that does not have some
fish in it but yet is grain - free and
high quality) put
fish or
fish oil in their food??? I believe
fish allergies may be more common
than people even realize, due to the prevalence of oceanic protein in our cat food.
