higher quality
than Jenkinson and Sagna, it leaves Wenger only improving in quality through a substitute goalkeeper and a

striker (even if he will take some adaptation time I think he'll be true class) in Lacazette, we have solid center backs (once they are all healthy) much better
than in recent seasons, Giroud is our killer weapon off the bench rather
than the key we are relying on as the main source of goals, Coquelin and Elneny are now midfield fall - back options rather

highest bracket of epl
strikers, we need sanchez desperately we've no choice other

than a
striker and although we don't have too many recognised wingers at the club, especially not to a
high standard of ability, we should be focusing less on another midfield type player and instead be targeting a player who will be a regular upfront and be able to deliver to the
high standards in front of goal that we expect.

strikers you mentioned above apart from Njie and Origi.I also rate Hayden

Nothing like one underachiever blowing smoke up the ass of another... we know that Ozil has some incredible technical gifts, but to be considered the best you have to bring more
than just assists to the table... for me, a top player has to possess a more well - rounded game, which doesn't mean they need to be a beast on both ends of the pitch, but they must have the ability to take their game to another level when it matters most... although he amassed some record - like stats early on, it set the bar too
high, so when people expected him to duplicate those numbers each year the pressure seemed to get the best of our soft - spoken star... obviously that's not an excuse for what has happened in the meantime, but it's important to make note of a few things: (1) his best year was a transition year for many of the traditionally dominant teams in the EPL, so that clearly made the numbers appear better
than they actually were and (2) Wenger's system, or lack thereof, didn't do him any favours; by playing him out of position and by not acquiring world - class
striker and / or right - side forward that would best fit an Ozil - centered offensive scheme certainly hurt his chances to repeat his earlier peformances, (3) the loss of Cazorla, who took a lot of pressure off Ozil in the midfield and was highly efficient when it came to getting him the ball in space, negatively impacted his effectiveness and (4) he likewise missed a good chunk of games and frankly never looked himself when he eventually returned to the field... overall the Ozil experiment has had mixed reviews and rightfully so, but I do have some empathy for the man because he has always carried himself the same way, whether for Real or the German National team, yet he has only suffered any lengthy down periods with Arsenal... to me that goes directly to this club's inability to surround him with the necessary players to succeed, especially for someone who is a pass first type of player; as such, this simply highlights our club's ineffective and antiquated transfer policies... frankly I'm disappointed in both Ozil and our management team for not stepping up when it counted because they had a chance to do something special, but they didn't have it in them... there is no one that better exemplifies our recent history

striker much
higher than that, with manager Ronald Koeman sure to keen to see how he is able to link up with Graziano Pelle, the Italian who has started life in the Premier League well after signing from Feyenoord this summer.
We lack ambition at Arsenal we are the big club that is desperate for the title more
than others but we are not showing hunger in our business, We have a scouting that is very poor as we have wasted a lot of Money on the wrong Sanchez is the only great player we have bought for decades, Ozil buy was mistake we had carzorla the we wanted a
striker, we wssted money on xhaka, Elneny, chambers, welbeck, mustafi and finally in lacazette he lacks height and physicality to thrive in epl you saw yesterday he was suffocated by Chelsea defenders he did not look a threat at all, but hey let's blame Kreonke for paying the
highest wage bill in Europe for Deadwoods... pooor management poor Arsenal what do you expect
unless we are planning to sell jack, Ramsey, Carzola, or even coquelin i don't get these transfer... who do we play where??? We had no problem in midfield last season (in my opinion) but if we are doing these just for the numbers then am ok with it... Our real problem is the No. 9 position... Guys theres a reason
strikers cost and are paid
higher than other players... A
striker who scores at - least a goal in three good chances created is exactly what we need
While the Germany international star, who Arsene Wenger smashed the Arsenal transfer record to sign from Real Madrid a few years ago, was one of a number of
high profile Gunners to enter the final year of their current contracts during the recent summer transfer window, there was far less talk and far fewer Arsenal transfer rumours about Mesut Ozil
than there were about our Chilean
striker Alexis Sanchez and the new Liverpool player Alex Oxlade - Chamberlain.
As it stands, this squad is fairly well positioned to compete for the Wenger Cup and make a deep run in the Europa, if and only if we play first stringers in Europe and use the bench for the League and FA Cups... that being said, and based on the fragility of the manager and the team in recent campaigns, it's more likely that Wenger will focus on a top 4 finish and the FA Cup... while the reasons for such an approach may appear logical, it would confirm a rather disturbing trend and appear counter intuitive for any team which claims to have
higher aspirations... I feel that Wenger simply can't afford to put all his eggs in the Europa basket because if he fails the potential backlash could cripple any top 4 chances due to the aforementioned fragile psyche that tends to rear it's ugly head like our own personal groundhog day each and every February... furthermore, can you even imagine Wenger bringing in the necessary recruits to adequately supply top quality lineups in a Thursday / Sunday dominated schedule; based on everything I've seen in recent years, I can't see that happening... in fact, mark my words, it's more likely that we see Lacazette playing out wide in Alexis's position with Giroud at
striker,
than we see Wenger make the necessary moves to right this ship... god, I hope I'm wrong but is it really that far - fetched considering what we've witnessed for past several years

Nice article... I used to be one of those staunch Wenger fans through the years... I used to believe he is superior
than Sir Alex, because with almost nothing to spend and playing with kids, he managed to keep us up there every year... I was really caught up with that half season wonder we used to show... In the summer 2013, him or the board (I don't recall) came out and said we are much stable financially and now we can fight with the biggest bullies, I got my hopes
high, I thought we are definitely signing a top
striker and DM, that what we need... What happened, only hours before the window closed we managed to sign a top AMF (remember we have our best player for the season 2012 - 2013 was AMF, Cazorla if you remember), I was really depressed seen Giroud leading the line every match... then comes winter window, and we were right there top of the table... My friend send me a poster of an elephant on a tree, and on the bottom of it «no one knows how it got there but everybody knows how it will get down»... I told my friend that we are only one decent
striker far from the gold... and what happened, we signed an old injured DM on loan... That for me was a completely arrogance and stubbornness cost us the league title... There I completely lost the plot with Wenger... I wish yesterday I was with those who raised that banner... I would write in my banner «Enough talks and philosophy, we need results»

than Vardy ever has in the Premier League.
