Southern Erie County and Cattaraugus County posted some of
the highest snow totals from the storm that started Thursday evening, but the Village of Wyoming in Wyoming County seems to have taken the lead with 2 feet.

Much of the precipitation fell as rain and heavy, wet
snow, which allowed for
higher totals.
This is expected since a
higher proportion of
total precipitation falls as
snow at the
higher sites.
But it's worth noting that though still much diminished from typical
snow depth
totals, the present range is now
higher than the driest years — 2014 - 2015 and 1976 - 1977.
