For example, two of the seven hills of Kampala, the capital of Uganda, are crowned by Christian cathedrals (and a third by an Islamic mosque), and Malawi has its missionary town Livingstonia healthily sited on the escarpment above Lake Malawi.
The lovely bay is enclosed by two headlands: the largest is to the south of the town, a verdant hillcrowned by a monastery which you can climb for amazing views.
