The rest of the arsenal feels tired and overused, but the new aiming system and
hit detection make the game feel more accessible, which is certainly a welcome addition.

For a game so focused on killing, the killing in the game is very basic button mashing, although to its credit the game tries to
make things interesting by throwing in poor
hit detection, clunky controls, and terrible camera control.
If there are further iterations of this game, the first thing I would do is rework the fight mechanics,
make the game less reliant on your stamina, and allow for much better
hit detection.
The
hit detection is a little strange and you can find yourself being crushed to death in places that seem unfair or do not
make sense.
However, overall, improvements to the camera and
hit detection have
made the combat way more enjoyable, yet challenging.
This fighting mechanic does
make the racing aspect more enjoyable, again bringing back fantastic memories of Road Rash, but the
hit detection can at times spoil the fun.
The
hit detection here is very sketchy,
making it far too easy to ram into them when it should be safe, or otherwise pass through them harmlessly when you should be killed.
Hit detection bugs can
make simple engagements incredibly frustrating, especially when you know your attack should be
hitting something.
A naive collision
detection algorithm would
make him
hit the block.
This is
made worse by a questionable
hit detection system, where rounds lined up with an enemy's center of mass don't seem to connect with their target at all.
