airline credit card right now as that's all I need for my travels.
I would much rather earn EQD at an accelerated rate by booking flights through American's partner
airlines than spend $ 25,000 on a
credit card whose currency I'd prefer not to
hold in any large quantity.
Many
airlines and hotels offer discounted redemptions at different times of the year or even shave down the cost for members that
hold certain types of
credit cards.
What
credit cards we all
hold will vary considerably depending on our individual circumstances but I thought I'd share with you why it is that, despite
holding over fifteen
credit cards (which isn't that many compared to some), I only actually

airline card in my collection.

While only about half of fliers surveyed have an
airline credit card, 59 % of those
hold one say they earn more miles with the card than they do by flying.
It says travel

airline credit, so could we
hold out hope that there may be more potential to this such as hotels as well.
It's unusual for a brand to have
credit card deals with multiple card issuers, the only other one that comes to mind is American
Airlines with Citi and Barclaycard and that's in large part due to the U.S. Airways merger (Barclaycard previously

credit card portfolio).
The report explains that competing travel reward
credit cards issued by major banks have also made it tougher for
airlines to
hold onto card members and to maintain their annual fee structures.
