a holiday dish in your parts.
Maybe it will pass, maybe I will fall in love with a bite of some unknown

in a jar gift.
You could also cook this

in advance and keep it covered
in the fridge until serving it for your

With the
holiday season behind us, and with the fresh start of the new year, I've been
in the mood for some healthy
dishes such as quinoa salads.
It's funny because I rarely go through a
holiday without thinking of my grandma's fruit salad - a recipe no one has made
in years and I may have to try and revive this summer - and the
dish that I drooled over as a kid: Rice and raisins.
In Italy, this recipe is a classic
holiday dish.
An excellent gift for families or anyone interested
in the
holiday from its historical perspective, Giving Thanks shares the story of the
holiday from the famous living history museum, complete with myriad illustrations, and favorite
dishes from all over the United States.
I am happy to share another recipe that uses a traditional
holiday ingredient — pumpkin —
in a
dish that bears no resemblance to Thanksgiving or Christmas foods.
This vibrant risotto would make for an excellent side
dish at a
holiday table, especially if you don't know what to do with that forgotten bag of sorghum
in the back of your pantry:)
