home ground oat flour acted any differently than the packaged kind?

Compared to all - purpose flour,
oat flour is a healthier alternative (hello fiber) and something that can be easily made at
home by
grinding oats (old - fashion or quick cooking, they both work fine) in a food - processor.
In the end I used 1 cup
home -
ground oat flour, 1/2 a cup brown rice flour, and 1/2 cup almond flour.
Hulless oats that have not been heat treated are available from www.sproutpeople.com; these can be
ground or rolled at
home before soaking and preparation as
oat meal.
Most of Doc's clients, preparing high - fiber diets at
home, rely on cooked carrots, canned or cooked unsweetened, unspiced pumpkin and
ground, well cooked broccoli and wheat and
oat bran.
