Each year, millions of
dogs end up
homeless and
waiting in shelters for a hero to come and rescue them.
Many people can't
wait to go trolling the shelters for
homeless dogs but you should restrain yourself until guidelines are in place.
The shelter reminded all of the Cheech hopefuls that many other
homeless pets are still
waiting for their own happily - ever - after, just like this adorable smiling
dog.
On any given day, there are between 60 - 80
homeless kittens, puppies,
dogs and cats
waiting to meet their next best friend and find a forever loving home.
Therefore, while campers will have daily opportunities to learn more about and meet with different animals (including shelter
dogs and cats and visiting animals), they should not expect to spend significant amounts of time working with or handling
homeless pets
waiting for adoption.
It's a great way for our former shelter
dogs and their adopters to support the
homeless pets who are in the shelter
waiting to find their special person or family.
Every weekend there are

Troops and packs can join us for a two - hour event to tour the shelter, learn about the problem of too many pets and not enough homes, meet an ambassador
