Homemade Cashew Butter
Most of the time I make this recipe with peanut butter but I love it best when I use
my homemade cashew butter — which, of course, I make with a tiny dab of coconut oil.
I was trying hard not to get discouraged, by waiting and taking the time it took to blend these thoroughly I ended up with the best
homemade cashew butter ever, and much less expensive than store bought cashew butter.
As you've seen in the post, this is the way I make
homemade cashew butter.
2 cups
homemade cashew butter (recipe below) 1/4 cup pure maple syrup 1/4 cup brown rice syrup 1 cup vanilla plant protein powder (FAVORITE)
Homemade cashew butter: toast 2 cups of cashews on a parchment lined baking sheet in a 300F oven for 20 minutes.

Not exact matches
I'm not sure if this was down to using
homemade almond
butter (previously used
cashew butter), not sifting the raw cacao or over-mixing in the Magimix — any thoughts on this would be appreciated (although this may be better directed at Madeleine as the recipe originated from her.)
Btw, do we need to store
homemade butter (almond,
cashew or peanut) in the fridge?
Tip # 1: Using store - bought
cashew butter will not work with the recipe because the consistency is much thinner than making it
homemade in a food processor and the mixture will not be thick enough to form the shape of a cookie.
I added a tablespoon of some
cashew nut
butter I made, and injected them with
homemade salted caramel sauce after scooping out the cookie dough.
