I'm hoping that I can try
some homemade coconut yogurt from All Against Grain's cookbook as I need the yogurt for baking and smoothies.
This version is creamy, easy to make, affordable and tastes delicious, try my easy
homemade coconut yogurt today!
Perhaps this is why I got a little ahead of myself and bought a bunch of fresh berries (even though they aren't local or in season) to add to
my homemade coconut yogurt.
2 cups rolled oats 1/2 a cup of dried un-sweetened coconut strips 1 large apple (peeled if not organic) and grated 6 tbsp natural non-sweetened yoghurt (preferable to use goats Kefir or
homemade coconut yogurt) 1 tbsp raw pumpkin seeds 1 tbsp raw sunflower seeds 1 tbsp organic sun - dried goji berries 1 tbsp organic sun - dried raisins 1 tbsp flax seeds 1 tbsp chia seed 1 tsp of ground cinnamon 2 cups of filtered water
And of course, leave a comment if you have any more tips for making
homemade coconut yogurt I haven't covered.
I used cornflakes (my very favorite one to use it the gluten free Erewhon Corn Flakes Cereal from Atune Foods) to give me the crunchy coating I was looking for and dairy free plain yogurt (I used
my homemade coconut yogurt, but use what you have on hand) to dip the chicken in, giving it a nice tang and moisture while eliminating the need for eggs for the egg sensitive.

If you're making coconut yogurt, you can add coconut meat to thicken the mixture as in

Hey Dawn, just thinking... What about if I use some of my
homemade coconut butter as a thickener for my
yogurt?
Try it without gelatin, but also try it with a lower - oil
coconut milk from the store, or let your
homemade coconut milk sit for a while, and then skim some of the oil off yourself before using it for
yogurt.
