fun homemade nut butter!
I
used homemade nut butter made from almonds and cashews, and coconut butter that give these cookies an amazing flavour and chewy / crumbly texture.
You can smother this delicious
homemade nut butter on toast, a banana, or spoon it into some oatmeal (or your mouth..).
There's no comparison
between homemade nut butter and store - bought for Mark Overbay, founder of the handcrafted nut butter company Big Spoon Roasters, as long as you follow his rules of the road.
I made them in a square cookie bar pan, and added, a mini muffin size,
homemade nut butter cup to the center of each brownie before baking @ 350F for 15 - 17 minutes.
You also get the nutrients of three different nuts, and I found that it blends quicker than
other homemade nut butters (mine started getting creamy 2 - 3 minutes in).
CARAMEL SAUCE: If you're
using homemade nut butter, there might be little lumps in the caramel sauce (like in mine)- and that's totally fine.
This was my first go at making
homemade nut butter and it so far surpasses any store - bought variety (even the most expensive ones).
Plus they also have incredible snacks, from mini packets or dates and
homemade nut butter to raw crackers and the best ever superfood donuts!

I've tried making
homemade nut butter a few times... it's so time consuming, I think because I just add the nuts without anything to help it come out smoothly (like oil or sweetener).
So easy and they will LOVE you If someone made
me homemade nut butter I would be eternally grateful!
Because they're so nutritious all by themselves, I don't add any type of oil to
any homemade nut butters.

Then I chase this with a plate of slices narnies and blubes with
some homemade nut butter — super easy and a range of colours.
When I make waffles, I often top them with
homemade nut butter, a sprinkle of cinnamon, and a light drizzle of honey.
