Many people prefer to buy almond
milk and other
plant - based
milks because they last much longer in the fridge than
homemade versions.
To make this breakfast even more nourishing, besides the fact that I used chia seeds, oats,
homemade milk and berries that are all super healthy, I added to the berry sauce Boost Yourself Balance superfood blend (that has super antioxidants and nature's power
plants like
1 tablespoon chia seeds, whole 1 tablespoon raw coconut butter 2 tablespoons raw cacao powder 1 fresh medjool date, pitted pinch of pink salt pinch of ground cinnamon pinch of vanilla bean seeds 1 cup
plant milk (I use
homemade hemp
milk) 2 to 3 ice cubes
This fantastic
homemade oat
milk is a great alternative to dairy or to other
plant - based
milk that can be a little bit expensive like almond
milk.
My issue with commercial
plant milks is that they sometimes can be overly watery and insipid, but with
homemade versions, you can adjust the amount of water to your liking.
I just keep in mind that the butter will only last as long as the
homemade plant - based
milk does (= the butter will have a shorter shelf - life).

I would make my daily smoothies,

Black tea provides the background notes and base and, while I have used both a rich coconut
milk and
homemade almond
milk, I prefer the smooth, timid flavor of almond
milk, though any
plant - based
milk would do.
Salt to taste (start around 1/2 teaspoon), add plenty of freshly ground black pepper, and 2 cups of plain
plant milk (I used
homemade walnut here, but also love using almond).
I made a smoothie with my
homemade almond
milk, a couple strawberries, and a scoop of their
Plant Protein Superfood 30 Protein Powder.
Blend 1/2 cup hot water + 1/2 cup nut
milk (
homemade hemp or cashew is my favorite) + 1 teaspoon matcha + 1 teaspoon healthy fat (coconut butter, coconut oil, creamy nut butter) + 1 to 2 teaspoons adaptogens (I rotate between reishi, mucuna pruriens, moringa, ashwagandha, and cordyceps) + 1 scoop of grass - fed collagen peptides or
plant - based protein powder + a pinch of cinnamon.
A healthy
homemade variant of a classic, super creamy, made from
plant - based
milk with a touch of kala namak and garlic.
1 frozen banana 1 cup non-dairy
plant milk (unstained and
homemade is best) 2 cups of chopped kale (remove the stems) 1 cup of frozen pineapple chunks 1 ripe pear 1 orange 1 cup of green grapes 1 Tablespoon ground flax (or equivalent amount of any nuts / seeds)
This smoothie bowl is packed with so many of the goods: chia pudding made with creamy
homemade almond
milk, and a ginger mango smoothie, packed with
plant protein, maca powder and citrus.
