Best Friends has put together a coalition
in Los Angeles dedicated to ending the killing of healthy and
adoptable pets in L.A. city shelters, as well as programs to spay / neuter animals, find

pets, and raise public awareness.

for the city shelter (BARC) and, since our founding

From Nov. 10 — 12, more than 3,500 animal welfare organizations will bring
adoptable pets into nearly all of PetSmart's 1,500 - plus stores
in the U.S. and Canada with the goal of finding
homes for more than 25,000
pets during this weekend adoption event.

home for every
adoptable older animal that comes through our door, to educate the public on the benefits of adopting older
pets, and to decrease the euthanasia rate

adoptable pets are
in foster
homes while others (new arrivals, those awaiting medical recovery, those awaiting foster / forever
homes) are cared
for at our Adoption Center
in Oceanside, CA.
Upon learning that half of the featured pups were adopted, Coldwell Banker set out on a mission to make a difference
