Yet it has pulled - off this feat, producing what is the best value
Android Honeycomb tablet out there.
If our time with the current crop
of Honeycomb tablets has taught us anything, we know that all this means little without content to take advantage of it.
With Honeycomb tablets hitting the stores now, and many more to come, finding the best apps for your shiny new Android 3.0 device is going to be a challenge.
Both are running
on Honeycomb and their design is completely different from each other.
Would have to see Sense
for Honeycomb in action before passing judgement.
The cause of the delay is reportedly due to a serious bug in the Android 3.1
Honeycomb OS which was discovered in the last minute.
That basically means smartphones will get some of the features first released for tablets
in Honeycomb such as sliding widgets, the new task launcher and multitasking interface.
The roadmap makes mention that these 2012 tablets will be
running Honeycomb as well, but we wouldn't be surprised if that ends up changing.
We're keeping our fingers crossed that we might see
Honeycomb updates for at least «some» of the current T - Mobile models and those that are launching later on this year.
This way, those who have been eagerly looking forward to the
first Honeycomb powered tablet will have something to cheer as well.
We'll really start to watch those numbers in the next few months
as Honeycomb tablets get updated to Ice Cream Sandwich and those API levels disappear altogether.
It's good sign that more
Honeycomb powered tablets are hitting the markets for a while now.
As with
other Honeycomb tablets, the system bar at the bottom of the screen is persistent.
The S1 and S2 are equipped with the latest Android 3.0

It feels like it's taken a long time for 7 -

using Honeycomb numbers to compare android tablets to iPads, while it may seem reasonable, actually doesn't give a real picture of the overall android tablet market share.
Unfortunately, this seems to be the state of
Honeycomb at the moment; this isn't an isolated incident.
People also keep saying there aren't a lot of
Honeycomb apps, but other than a wallpaper app, every app I've tried has worked well.
While it's
not Honeycomb for your tablet, it sure makes it a lot better.
I was hoping for a stock Android
Honeycomb experience, but the enhancements do add a lot of value for many consumers.
The keyboard appears to occupy about the same depth as the
stock Honeycomb keyboard, but with the added benefit of the number row (a native first among the Android 3.0 tablets).
These are the weapons of choice for virtually any 10 inch
Honeycomb slate out there and the results are very good most of the time.
Knowing that our Android smartphones will not be seeing
Honeycomb doesn't mean you can't dream about it, right?

There is not even a option in the marketplace to even look for apps that were optimized or created especially for
Honeycomb based devices.
While Honeycomb is designed for tablets, it looks like it will get a long just fine with smartphones.
So in all, $ 600 for the complete set comprising of the tablet plus the keyboard does sound quite affordable when compared to many
Honeycomb offerings we have recently seen.

Honeycomb comes with five customizable Home screens for instant access to all parts of the system.
Personally, I would much rather have the original
Honeycomb interface but I shouldn't knock it until I try it.
It is set as the primary keyboard by default, though you can switch back to the

Android too has made steady progress so that the tablet
optimized Honeycomb version is doing the rounds now and Ice Cream Sandwich is next in the pipeline.
