of depression among BSA patients in Leicester and the local county compared with British White (BW) patients via the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS - D) ≥ 10 (BSA 20.7 %; BW 10.4 % p = 0.001).17 Depressive symptoms were associated with potentially maladaptive coping strategies among both ethnic
groups but were employed statistically significantly more frequently
by BSA patients.
