Bottom Line: We value Chase Ultimate Reward
points at 1.9 cents per
point, where the most value
comes from the option to transfer your
points directly to the select air and
hotel loyalty programs 1 to 1, but you also have the options of booking travel directly through the Chase travel center at a value of 1.25 cents per
point or redeem for credits or other products at a value of 1 cent per
point.
When it
comes to selecting a
hotel for your Christmas market experience, you can stay at one of the best for just 25,000 Hyatt
points per night even though peak season rates in December head north of 500 euros per night at the relatively new and very swanky Park Hyatt Vienna.
That premium is in not only the amount of
points, but also in the fact that everything in the
hotel and in Back Bay is going to
come with a premium over Brookline.
When it
comes to redeeming
points with Chase, you can either book through their portal (which gives you an ok, but not great redemption value), or (this is my favorite part) transfer your
points 1:1 to their partner airlines and
hotels.
