Long story short: if I had to settle on just one credit
card to earn miles / points, I would definitely
go with one of those that earn points that give you the option of transferring those points into a variety of air and
hotel rewards programs.

going into too much detail in this particular post, another critical piece of information regarding the difference in these
cards is you will need to have one of the premium Ultimate
Reward cards (non-Freedom) to have the option of transferring into their airline and
hotel partner programs.
