I know a lot of
rewards points collectors who are all - in when it
comes to collecting miles and earning status with their favorite airline, yet when I ask about their strategy for earning
hotel status, they shrug their shoulders.

Rewards Club is the most easy to collect
points fast.
If you don't travel that frequently, though, you're better off hunting for a
rewards card that doesn't
come with an annual fee and doesn't tie its greatest
rewards points to
hotel stays.
However, the most valuable aspect of Membership
Rewards points may
come from the
points - transfer program to partnered airlines and
hotels.
You won't find a co-branded card that's equivalent to, say, the Chase Marriott
Rewards Visa (no annual fee the first year, then $ 85), which
comes with a 50,000
point sign - up bonus — enough to buy two nights at a Tier 5
hotel.
