This heavily lay - led movement tends to gravitate toward nondenominational,
house church models disconnected from a larger body, both in terms of support and accountability.
Even
the house church model is somewhat a work of human effort.
Several months ago, at my small group, I asked the question, «why did the pastor decide to forgo
the house church model and create a traditional church?»
I responded, «If he kept
the house church model and split it into two groups every 6 months, and those groups grew and split likewise, how big do you think his church would be now?»
I am upgraded to
the house church model for a lot of reasons.

church, or free - for - all charismatic
