A few of you asked me for a Christmas home
tour on Facebook, so
here are a few quick shots I took around the
house.
Initially my idea was to paint it and make a fun wall hanging, but I felt so inspired by the Spring season (see my
house tour with proof
here!)
The cathedral's Chapter
House has managed to hold on to one of four surviving copies of the Magna Carta which is in impeccable condition, but there is so much more to learn
here — best to take the 90 - minute
tour which whisks you and your date up into the cathedral tower, at 332 steps high the views will blow you away.
In Roland Emmerich's White
House Down, there's no adorable canine to miraculously emerge from the rubble once the dust settles, but there's a puppy - doggish
tour guide (Nicolas Wright) who, while walking visitors through the sacred residence of which he's an encyclopedic fanboy, turns and says, «Now
here's the room that got blown up in Independence Day.»
These
houses are set in natural bushland - you won't find any sculptured gardens or topiary
here - and are just a short distance from all the amenities, activities and
touring options on offer at Kingfisher Bay.
You may choose to join an optional shore excursion
here, exploring the region's wine - making heritage with a
tour of the Mâconnais and Beaujolais vineyards, concluding in a visit the Le Hameau du Vin, a winemaking museum
housed in a 19th century railway station.
We enjoy a guided
tour here before transferring by coach to our hotel in Loch Lomond, the Cameron
House Hotel.
On arrival you are treated to a delightful guided
tour, seeing the city's imperial architecture lining the famous Ringstrasse, as well as the narrow
houses of the idyllic Old Town.You spend two nights
here in Vienna.

When I got home from the HGTV Dream Home (see the
tour,
here) I laid out the Glidden paint color palette chips from the
house on my ottoman and instantly noticed that all the shades of blues and teals they used looked great my living room!

As I mentioned in Saturday's post when we went up to NH earlier this fall we had a little fun adding some of our Christmas decor to Jason's
house (you can see a before and after
tour of his
house here).
Cleaning a
house with two toddlers
here 24/7 is dang near impossible, let alone decorating and staging one for a home
tour, so this is the least staged home
tour you may see today.
With all the blue in my
house, sometimes fall colors can be a bit harsh in
here, but you'll see in my upcoming fall
tour, I did branch out a bit into some color so stay tuned!
