Everyone told
me how good breastfeeding is for the baby but at the same time, doctors, nurses, and online mommy forums were telling me about everything that could possibly go wrong.

Remember
how well a breastfeeding session went when you were calm and unhurried, when you kept your cool even though your baby was tired and cranky?
I'm also a mom I call myself a momma of two and half children because I was blessed into a marriage of, with the daughter already I have a step daughter who I consider a daughter, I don't say the word step she is 14 years old and she gets tired of me constantly telling her the power of the female body and
how she better breastfeed my grandbabies.
Not exact matches
Because of their obedience to God, because they have sown in tears and joy, I am reaping that harvest of love and faithfulness, of a
good marriage, of faith, of questioning, and of knowing even seemingly mundane things like
how to
breastfeed and fight fair.

breastfeeds his children i am not surprised that they do nt get it what it is like to be under pressure and to actually perform to their
best
Breastfeeding will likely get easier for her as the baby figures out
how to latch on, her nipples toughen up, etc.; if it doesn't, she will not be able to keep going, and then it is up to you to make her feel
better as a mom.
It's impossible to know
how pregnancy and
breastfeeding will go for each woman until she experiences it for herself and then can decide what is
best for her and her family.
How are women who are told that they must
breastfeed and it is
best for their child ever supposed to «win» in this kind of a climate?
A family member who had not been successful
breastfeeding her first child came to me and asked for some advice about
how to do
better with her next one.
If, in the end, it does turn out that women who
breastfeed end up with flatter career trajectories overall (and I'd love to see
how something that typically lasts for a year affects a woman for life... if there is a correlation I bet that
breastfeeding and other parenting decisions are co-incidental, not causational),
well I guess like others, my response would be «so...?».
What i am trying to say is that we need to re-establish just
how IMPORTANT
breastfeeding is and make it clear that it may
well be difficult but it is soooo important to give it time, ask for help and support, and to persevere for more than 2 weeks.

well, because I couldn't find a way to work it into the letter, that if I know a friend is planning to
breastfeed, I often try to arm them with
good information (e.g.
good books,
good websites,
how to find a lactation consultant) ahead of time and let them know that I am there if they have any questions at all.
And that, just that lack of trust in your own body can have an impact on
how successful you may be in
breastfeeding if you don't have, you know,
good support to keep going and
good information.
What bugs me — or maybe saddens me is the
better word — is the competitive undertone when some moms casually ask «
how long you nursed» and «if you exclusively
breastfeed.»

breastfeed, in addition to other important and relevant topics such as:
how to maintain your supply, handling problems if there are any, what diet to be on when
breastfeeding, what supplements to use in case the baby is not feeding much etc..
And
how are they overcoming those obstacles to have the
best breastfeeding experience possible?
