Now I hear a lot of doctors out there, «Well, pull gluten out for a bit,» which I think is great, almost — almost all of my patients go on an autoimmune diet to start with, because I can't tell you
how many times something like nuts or eggs can cause a problem, and because they're such a common staple in a Paleo diet, anyone that has
gut issues or severe neurological stuff or mood stuff or hormone stuff, an autoimmune diet with the potential of something like a — an SCD or GAPS or a low FODMAP may even be added on, kinda like a filter.
And I just want to quickly say that we'll definitely at some point, I want to give people some very specific tests they can do and actionables they can go through for trying to figure out if they have an underlying

gut issues?

I have started to become more of a believer in the complex relationship between our
gut flora, the epigenetic implications of this flora, and
how our diet, behavior and environment all play into these
issues.
Some of my chronic
gut issues, they'll hit the wall at 1, but great, I mean, that doesn't meant though you're getting enough enzymes, well, we'll work on upping the enzymes separately to 3 or 4 or 5 and seeing
how we do.
If we take in nutrient - rich foods, but we have a
gut issue and a malabsorption and low stomach acid and dysbiosis and infection, you can see
how that may impede the absorption of these nutrients, thus causing deficiency even though we're having a really good diet intact.
So, that's
how I would do it, in my perfect world if someone has severe
gut issues, I would try to do it that way.
