Much of

much time in New York City's major museums, where large group shows of
contemporary painting are breathtakingly rare, given
how many curators are besotted with Conceptual Art and its many often - vibrant derivatives.

Not only because she's one of the most recognizable
contemporary artists in the world, but
how she was so avant - garde and ahead of her time and being a Japanese female on top of that, makes her a true pioneer; I have so
much to respect for her.
The exhibition will be a unique look at key works from these artists» careers and
how they revolutionised American sculpture in a way in which
contemporary visual art is still very
much indebted.
I met up with her in her studio at the Atlanta
Contemporary Art Center, where we discussed the Atlanta art scene, relationships, being an introvert, strange dreams,
how her studio is like a Word document, and
how her text - centered artwork is becoming
much more performative.
Opening to the public officially on Friday, May 4 (following two days of previews) the New York edition of the London - based
