how good granola tastes without all the sugar and combined with the fruity
smoothie it tastes so incredibly
sweet and delicious that you'd never want to add more sugar anyway!
Note: depending on
how much of a
sweet tooth you have, you might not need to add the honey into the
smoothie bowl, because the Nutella and raspberries add plenty of sweetness.
How does a nice tall, creamy, dreamy, subtly
sweet, seriously healthy, velvety smooth, low carb, banana free blackberry cheesecake
smoothie sound?
So if you want a quick snack, a soft serve ice cream or a quick
smoothie then you can just use these 2 ingredients and you'll be amazed at
how creamy,
sweet and gorgeous it is.
It looks so delicious and I can see
how the flavour of coffee would go really nicely with the
sweet dates and banana so that the
smoothie doesn't end up being too
sweet overall.
If your
smoothie needs sweetener, add sweetener to taste, depending on
how sweet the fruit is.
Not to mention
how delicious this
smoothie actually is — creamy from the almonds, bursting with freshness from the berries, and deliciously
sweet thanks to the banana and dates!
Cranberry Orange Green
Smoothie (Gluten - free, Dairy - free, Sugar - free) 1/2 of a blender of greens, loosely packed (about 4 cups loosely packed)-- I used Trader Joe's Power Greens mix of baby kale, spinach, and chard 1 large frozen banana 1/2 cup of unsweetened coconut milk from the carton or other nondairy milk 1/2 cup fresh cranberries 1 large orange, peeled 3 - 5 dates (depending on
how sweet you like your
smoothies)-- start with 3 dates, taste, then add more if needed
The shake is really thick and super
sweet (which is
how I like it), but this
smoothie is a whole lot healthier.
There was a lot of choices such as, pancakes, french toast, eggs
how you like it, the omelets were sooooooooo good, I
smoothies, little
sweet breads, and others at breakfast.
When making my usual after - work
smoothie bowl the other day, I found myself thinking about
how I could add more fiber without increasing sugar content, and without compromising the
sweet flavor.
Our first week of the
smoothie journey has been great, amazing
how quickly your body shifts from craving
sweet carb & processed to fresh whole foods.
I really didn't realize
how much sugar I had been consuming, between all the fruit, granola, and
smoothies and snacks, not to mention outright
sweets like ice cream (non-dairy of course) and gluten - free cookies.
