Studying the connection of these two systems could help scientists to better understand
how volcanic systems evolve, whether they erupt magma, mud or hydrothermal fluids.

Liverpool volcanologist, Dr Janine Kavanagh, who heads up the University's specialist MAGMA laboratory, said «For the first time, using innovative laboratory experiments that combined our knowledge of

Current computer models can faithfully simulate many of the important aspects of the global climate
system, such as changes in global average temperature over many decades; the march of the seasons on large spatial scales; and
how the climate responds to large - scale forcing, like a large
volcanic eruption.
It is a simple discrepancy which must be laid to rest, or there is no way to conclude anything about the
system:
how were CO2 levels maintained in a tight range over centuries, given all the random influx and egress from
volcanic activity, environmental perturbations, deforestation, desertification, fossilization, agricultural trends, wars, oceanic turnover, continental drift, weathering of minerals, fires, floods, etc..., if there is not a fairly strong feedback holding them in place?
