Environments include snowy mountains, large sci - fi bases, desert canyons, and
huge battle arenas yet the cohesive vibrant atmosphere always remains present.

There is also an arcade mode present, limiting you to 3 lives and 3 continues like the old skool beat «em ups of years gone by, whilst a wave defending «
arena mode» lets you drop in on specific parts of the stages before
battling it out against a
huge number of foes.
Having a writer helps, but developers often just bring writers in to help fill in dialogue around setpieces (make up a reason for everyone to have a
huge zombie
battle in the football
arena!)
While the promise of a bunch of Samurai beating each other up in epic
battles spanning
huge arenas and hundreds of fighters on both sides sounds like a really fun time, admittedly, I wasn't too excited to review this one before I actually played it.
