The researchers looked at a total of 34 different global climate model outputs, encompassing different degrees of atmospheric sensitivity to greenhouse gases and different levels of
human emissions of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere.
Global mean temperatures have increased since the late 1800s due to
the human emission of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere.

At the same time it will help mitigate and solve catastrophic consequences
of human - induced global warming and climate change by reducing
greenhouse gas emissions into the atmosphere.
The IPCC scientists agree that much
of the heat that
humans have put
into the atmosphere since the 1970s through
greenhouse gas emissions probably has been absorbed by the ocean.
To better determine the fate
of the species in the face
of climate change, the researchers analyzed a total
of 34 different global climate models, taking
into account atmospheric sensitivity to
greenhouse gases and different levels
of human greenhouse gas emissions.
Beginning in the late 1960s, computer simulations indicated possible changes in temperature and precipitation that could occur due to
human - induced
emission of greenhouse gasses into the atmosphere.
So we have a situation in which the latest science on two key issues: how much the earth will warm as a result
of human greenhouse gas emissions, and how well climate models perform in projecting the warming, is largely not incorporated
into the new IPCC report.
Besides
emissions of greenhouse gases,
humans are constantly changing their environment which does have an impact (e.g. turning a corn field
into an asphalt parking lot or massive deforestation in the world's major tropical rainforests or laying down a carpet
of black soot on ice sheets).
If the alarmists are wrong about even one or two
of them,
human greenhouse gas emissions move out
of the realm
of a nuisance requiring a response — whether by governments or via a (presently nonexistent) global property rights regime — and
into the realm
of speculation.
Two weeks ago, The New York Times published an article detailing the results
of an investigation
into Wei - Hock «Willie» Soon, an aerospace engineer who's published several papers questioning the link between
human emissions of greenhouse gases and global warming.
Hypothesis 2b: Although the natural causes
of climate variations and changes are undoubtedly important, the
human influences are significant and are dominated by the
emissions into the atmosphere
of greenhouse gases, the most important
of which is CO2.
Hot off the press, in yesterday's Journal
of Climate, Nic Lewis and Judith Curry have re-calculated the equilibrium climate sensitivity (ECS) based upon the historical uptake
of heat
into the ocean and
human emissions of greenhouse gases and aerosols.
