Students should graduate from high
school and certainly college with at least a basic understanding
of the foundational concepts
of climate science so they can understand
human activities and how they are
impacting climate and other aspects
of the earth system.
This is concerning for a lot
of reasons, not least
of which is the passing on
of toxic compounds in plastic to
human eaters through bio-accumulation in fish tissues, as well as the
impact on fish behavior, from reduced activity rates to weakened
schooling behavior to compromised liver function.
Sometimes the

of chain saws toppling ancient trees to make way for cattle pasture or nets corralling
