the hybrid author thing at some point but have a list of editors, copyeditors, cover designers, etc. that I would use rather than a self - pub arm of an agency.

The best opportunities are in «
hybrid» publishing, which means, doing the
things that make you the most money and build your
author platform (those two
things are not identical, and often even at odds: as in, you may give one book away for free to reach new readers, and make money on other books you charge more on).

thing to do because these
authors could find themselves in the same situation as the
authors from Ellora's Cave (many are NYT
authors as well as indies /
hybrid too).
