It contains three layers: the epidermis, dermis, and
hypodermis which all require different types of cells:
The skin is composed of 3 layers: the epidermis, the dermis, and
the hypodermis.
The skin is composed of three layers: the epidermis, which is the thinnest of the three layers and sits on the very top; the dermis, which sits in the middle; and
the hypodermis, which connects skin to bone and muscle.
The «
hypodermis» is the layer of connective tissue, beneath the dermis, that attaches these seven layers of skin to the underlying bones and muscles, and supplies them with blood vessels and nerves.
The hypodermis regulates our body temperature and is what attaches the dermis to the muscles and bones.
Last but not least is
the hypodermis, where subcutaneous fat is stored.
These burns affect the all layers of skin — epidermis, dermis and
hypodermis — and cause charring of skin or a translucent white color.
