The company revealed last week that the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X will all natively support the Qi wireless charging platform, which will allow owners to charge up their batteries by simply placing
their iPhones on wireless chargers or stands.

It's important to note that while all three 2017
iPhones do pack Apple's own take
on wireless charging in the form of AirPower and «Resonant» charging, they also support the standard Qi
wireless, which means any Qi
wireless charger you may have will work with it.
Apple says the
wireless charging technology used is all - new, but importantly, its new
iPhones will also charge via the huge collection of Qi - compatible
chargers already
on the market.
Apple is expected to include
wireless charging as a core feature in the
iPhones it launches
on Tuesday, but Apple's own
wireless charger may not ship along the new
iPhones.
It's been suggested numerous times over the past year that the next batch of
iPhones would finally go all - in
on wireless charging, and if Kuo's report is accurate that seems to be the case, but there's one little catch: Your first iPhone
wireless charger probably won't be made by Apple at all.
But even though this will be one of the biggest new features
on the 2017
iPhones, Apple won't include a
wireless charger in the box, so customers would have to purchase it separately.
