This new addition to the BBC portfolio of mobile
software follows on from the success of their news app, which is now a feature of many mobile platforms and provides a background to build upon for the
iPlayer; if not to just compliment the series.
So the whole idea is centered around BBC's popular
iPlayer video streaming service, some bits of
software, and a closed captioning strategy.
The screen is fantastic — you won't find better tablet for watching Netflix and BBC
iPlayer on — and (one or two
software quirks aside) it's very accomplished in every other department.
We're sure that the Wi - Fi issue and the issue we encountered with BBC
iPlayer can be addressed through
software updates, but not being able to expand the memory with a card is a little inhibiting.
