Last year, we labored
for hours over royal
icing, dabbing it here and there, and decorating
cookie stars, snowmen, and Christmas trees.
The cooler weather undoubtedly calls
for chocolate in holiday
cookies and mugs of hot chocolate, while summertime is all about chocolate
ice cream, fudgsicles, and s» mores.
Since the trimmed pieces aren't necessarily «show» material, but still delicious, I like to use these
for crumbles on
ice cream, as a
cookie crumb in a pie crust, even in combination with some granola as a tasty breakfast oatmeal stir - in.
Most people go
for the chocolate cake, the chocolate
ice cream, the chocolate
cookie.
1 batch sugar
cookie dough (I substituted 1 tsp of vanilla extract
for almond and loved it) 1 batch royal
icing Photo transfers (I got mine here)

cookie, drop 1 generous tablespoon of batter onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing the mounds about 1 inch apart (or use a mini
ice cream scoop).
I never actually liked dairy
ice cream because it made me so sick to my stomach but i'm crazy

If you're in the mood
for a summer treat leave the
ice out and take a

cookie would be perfectly acceptable and insanely delicious on its own, but
for a fancy schmancy dessert, it calls
for ice cream.
Rolling the dough between sheets of parchment and stamping out rounds after baking results in perfectly round
cookies, just right
for making beautiful
ice cream sandwiches.
I used at least 15 jars
for gifts, a alot over
