The delicious
mix of breakfast and lunch was filling and delicious, the yummy curried potato and kale with sauted onions was complimented by some
iceberg lettuce & carrot salad on the side, and beans on toasted bread added that necessary breakfast - y vibe.

I began the salad with
mixed greens, a healthier base than the
iceberg lettuce my mom uses.
We prepped the veggies and
mixed the dressing, and then I tossed half of the dressing with the
iceberg lettuce in the salad bowl, and the other half with the chick peas in a smaller bowl.
The kids always want me to buy
Iceberg or Romaine
lettuce, but I'm a huge fan of the Baby Spring
Mix which features an assortment of darker greens — those darker
lettuces are much more nutrient rich.

mixed salad greens for the not - as - nutritious
Iceberg lettuce.
If you have some standard
iceberg lettuce, go ahead and use it for the splendid crunch, but
mix in some other greens like escarole, frisee, or even baby spinach.
Total vegetables: string beans, broccoli, cabbage / coleslaw, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, carrots (raw, cooked, or juice), corn, peas, lima beans,
mixed vegetables or vegetable soup, beans, lentils, celery, squash, eggplant, zucchini, yams, sweet potatoes, baked / boiled / mashed potatoes, spinach, kale, mustard or chard greens,
iceberg or head
lettuce, romaine or leaf
lettuce, peppers, tomatoes, onions, tofu and soy (soy burger, soybeans, miso, or other soy protein).
This usually includes a good canary or finch seed
mix, along with pellets and greens like mustard, celery tops and
lettuces — avoid
iceberg lettuce, which has little nutritional value.

Add a side serving of «shredded» chiffonade Romaine
lettuce and
iceberg mix, sprayed on the serving plate with the same oil: lemon
mix used to spray the fish.
Serve on a plate of a
mix of shredded romaine and
iceberg lettuce with a few large cold shrimp strategically positioned around the avocado half.
Mix in a little of my lobster oil mayo, a little salt and fresh ground pepper and top with a smidgeon of shredded tarragon and crispy leaf
