It's a
nearly identical diet to the USDA's food pyramid in America; saturated fat is minimised and there's copious amounts of whole grains forming the base of the pyramid.
With the exception of beverage options, both groups followed
an identical diet and exercise program for the duration of the study.
This seems to be something that is unique to individuals — meaning you and your friend might have a different response to
an identical diet.
Rather than start with genetically identical twins eating different diets and so generating different hormonal / metabolic responses that way, let's start with subjects who are not genetically identical, and give
them the identical diet.
