Objectives Students will: - tell what a tree is (the worlds largest plant); - describe in simple terms the value and beauty of trees; - observe trees and
identify roots, crowns, trunks, and bark; - describe
seasonal changes in trees.
If the planetary temperatures rise beyond the 1.5 °C to 2 °C limit proposed by the Paris agreement signed by 197 nations in 2015, then climate
change could arrive in Mali, Niger and Chad in the shape of intense rains of the kind
identified as
seasonal monsoons.
Persistent small climate
changes are difficult to detect within the diurnal, regional, and
seasonal variance of Earth's reflected (shortwave) and emitted (longwave) energy — hence a continuous long - term (decades) record of Earth's radiation budget (ERB) is needed to
identify subtle long - term shifts related to climate
change.4 With the demanifesting of TSIS and ERBS from NPOESS, ERB measurements will end with the last CERES on Aqua (or perhaps NPP, pending addition of CERES FM - 5 onto NPP), the TIM record will end with Glory, and the SIM record with SORCE.
