Women who died of inflammatory diseases were older
at baseline, had
higher WBC counts and fibrinogen
concentrations, were more likely to be nondrinkers (
ie, no alcohol) and less likely to ever have taken hormone replacements, but were more likely to take any medication or to suffer from CVD
at baseline than women who were still alive
at follow - up (Table 2).
