A lot of fans (myself included) have wondered
if another Darksiders would ever come about and it appears that Klemens Kruezer achknoledges the fans are eager for Darksiders 3.
Lead designer Haydn Dalton has said that
if Darksiders II sells well enough to justify another sequel, Vigil will probably aim for a tighter, busier game world.

Darksiders II etc. are money makers, again why rebuild from scratch
if it'll earn more then enough as it is with mostly new controls, slightly better graphics and native 1080p by «porting» it?
If you like a bit more adventuring in your third person action games then THQ's
Darksiders might be the one to go for instead.
Darksiders II deserves a place on your shelf
if you've never played it before.
Still, I wanted to revisit the game properly and try to see
if it's a game worth buying in today's market since there's potentially a lot of people out there whose first console has been an Xbox One or PS4 and have thus never played
Darksiders II.
If you've never played
Darksiders before, what you are getting is a game that is clearly heavily inspired by the 3D Legend of Zelda games.
If you're a fan of the
Darksiders series but haven't yet played
Darksiders II, I highly recommend getting a copy of the Deathinitive Edition.
But now there does seem to be a small sliver of hope, as Platinum Games producer Atsushi Inaba took to his Twitter account to say this (Translated by Polygon): «Oh man in THQ's big sale it looks like nobody's bought
Darksiders... I'd love to buy that (
if it was cheap).»
Case and Point was
Darksiders 2, beat the game and platinumed it in about 42 hours, yet it was the best bang for my buck i got this gen honestly, found it way more fun and enjoyable than Skyrim IMO to which i have spent about 70 hrs in and can't even stand to look at the case anymore (just got boring halfway through that playtime, but i held out hoping it got better but it never did) I value
if it was worth it by the experience it provided, and the amount of good content it holds.
If you've ever played a Zelda title and miss the type of gameplay that series offers, consider giving
Darksiders and
Darksiders II a chance.
So
if you've played and enjoyed the God of War franchise, you'll likely enjoy
Darksiders as well.
When we initially pitched
Darksiders way back in the day, the first concept was that it would be a four - player co-op, third - person action game, and luckily THQ said, «Erm, you guys,
if you make one fun character you'll be lucky.
Considering
Darksiders» inspirations from Zelda, It'd be crazy
if these artists (and Retro at large) finally DID get a stab at a Zelda game.
So
if you guys haven't decided I think
Darksiders would be an excellent choice for Plus (
if you guys haven't decided yet).
If you like action combat with some platforming thrown in, light puzzles, and a decent storyline
Darksiders is worth a look.
I read THQ Nordic was preparing something for switch so
if it's
darksiders +
darksiders II or something like that, I would rather get it on switch at a later date.
Plus,
if DmC is successful, we wouldn't be shocked to see Capcom looking to branch out more into Japanese - influenced Western games, and
Darksiders certainly fits the bill for that.
If you're gaping endlessly at the Wii U exclusive Hyrule Warriors then you'll be glad to know that the closest thing to Zelda on Xbox:
Darksiders 2, is going to be free from the 16th until the 31st of October.
If all goes according to THQ Nordic's plan, we should soon see the announcement of
Darksiders 4, where you'll be able to finish the series, playing as the final Horseman, Strife.
It's almost certainly a gigantic world when compared to the first
Darksiders — but it doesn't feel especially big, moreso
if you're not focusing on every single one of the game's side quests, which can add a substantial number of hours to your play time.
Imagine
if God of War was designed by Naughty Dog, with elements of Horizon, The Last of Us, Uncharted and
Darksiders and you will get a picture of how different this title is.

It's unlikely we'll see
Darksiders III until the next - generation of consoles, maybe it's time Vigil Games got the four horseman together in one game like we've always wanted, especially
if we can play it in co-op.

Since I'm asking others,
If I'm to rank my favorites it probably goes: Persona 4 (epic RPG), Mark of the Ninja (ingenious stealth mechanics) Runner 2 (great trance out, rhythm game and humor) Rayman Origins (tough but enjoyable platformer; beautiful atmosphere)
Darksiders (gritty Zelda, imperfect but enjoable) Thomas was Alone (short, but clever and a good bit size game) The Cave (not fantastic, but humorous and no complaints at the PS + free tier)
I can't compare the game much to Dark Souls since I've only played Dark Souls just a little and the same with
Darksiders, so this review will be more about discussing the game features no matter
if they are similar to the latter games or not.

Darksiders, Red Faction: Armageddon, and
if you pay more than the average price you can also acquire the stellar Saints Row: The Third.
