If SyFy really wanted to grab an audience they would have started this show at the beginning of summer, when it really has no competition, instead they started it just as the fall TV season starts and it's major competition is coming back to start it's season from a last season cliffhanger.
If SyFy can capitalize on its viral, it will be well on its way to owning the modern - day B - movie.

SyFy on a budget, you won't be seeing a pristine 1080p picture as the original print is in much lower resolution, so many will find it to not be worth upgrading
if they already own all of the DVDs.

SyFy made for TV movie than something to be excited about, but considering Amirpour's preternatural talent for splicing genres,

As Defiance is linked to a TV show of the same name on the
