If you grind chia seeds up to put in, say, an iced coffee drink, will the chia powder still soak up fluid from your digestive track and cause constipation?

If you don't have any
ground flaxseed, you can leave this out or substitute in a teaspoon or two of
chia seeds instead.
Yes you can:) Soak them as long as you can so the texture will disappear, or use
ground chia seeds
if you have those on hand.

chia seeds, you can blend all the ingredients in your blender, which
grinds up the
chia seeds a bit.

Chia seeds tend to gel up pretty quickly so

If youre trying to avoid eggs in your baked goods you could also make flax or
chia eggs You just
grind I think a tablespoon in a coffee grinder, or you can buy them pretty
ground, then add I think 3 tablespoons water and let sit for a few minutes.
If you're able to find
ground chia, that would work.

ground chia but
if not whole
chia seeds will also work.
Egg - free: You could try making the wonton wrappers themselves with «
chia eggs» (one «
chia egg» is 1 tablespoon
ground chia seeds + 1 tablespoon lukewarm water, mixed and allowed to gel), but there are 3 eggs in the recipe so I'm honestly not sure
if it would work.
If you do try it eggless,
ground chia seed might be a better place to begin.

ground chia and wondered
if that made a difference so bought the seeds and tried it again.
The
ground hemp seeds won't have the same thickening properties as flax or
chia, but
if you're fine with a thinner end product, go for it!
So...
if you have
ground chia seed, then you can reduce the eggs, otherwise it won't work right.
If you
grind up the
chia seeds before you add the water, your gel will be totally smooth and the seeds will be undetectable in the final product.
I think
if you want to replace the eggs, you could use flax «eggs» or even
ground chia, but you'd probably have to cave and add some flour of some sort (even
if chickpea or coconut).
If you use
chia seeds, get white
chia and
grind to a powder first (otherwise you'll have black speckles in your dough, and it looks vaguely like bugs...)
